Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 20 March 2024: Canadian female comedy powerhouse, Katherine Ryan, has joined the jam-packed lineup of funny men and women for the 2024 edition of the Dubai Comedy Festival.
The comedy festival, set to take place from 12th to 21st April, promises to bring non-stop laughter to the heart of Dubai, with Katherine Ryan’s show opening the festival on Friday 12 April 2024.
Katherine Ryan is a multifaceted talent, excelling as a comedian, writer, presenter, actress, and singer. Her one-night-only Dubai Comedy Festival show will be her Dubai debut.
Katherine’s biting comedy style, often compared to the legendary Joan Rivers, has earned her accolades and a dedicated fan base across the globe. She is a very familiar face on British TV and radio panel shows, including her role as a regular team captain on the much-loved “8 Out of 10 Cats.”
As a stand-up comedian, Katherine Ryan has graced the stages of the BBC’s Live at the Apollo and released two highly acclaimed Netflix specials, “In Trouble” (2017) and “Glitter Room” (2019).
Her comedic work earned her the 2008 Funny Women Award, and in 2023, she won the Outstanding Female Comedy Entertainment Performance award at the National Comedy Awards for “Backstage with Katherine Ryan.”
